Lois L. Hackle

Savannah - Lois L. Hackle, 81, died Thursday, October 19, 2006 at Hospice Savannah. She was a native of Emanuel County and was a member of Riverside Baptist Church. She retired from Levy’s Department Store after thirty-one years of service. Lois was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and loved and could find the best in everyone she knew. She especially liked helping others. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Lavon Hackle of Savannah; son, Leland A. Buddy Powell and his wife Carol of Statesboro, GA; three granddaughters, Kristi Crooms and her husband Allen of Statesboro, GA, Shannon Osborne and her husband Kem of Savannah and Nicole Williams of Savannah; two great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Zachary Crooms of Statesboro, GA; sister, Evelyn Way and her husband Thomas of Augusta, GA. step-daughter, Angela Hubbard and her husband Terry of Macon, GA. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherri Morris.
Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, October 22, 2006 at the Islands Chapel of Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 23, 2006 at the Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel with the Reverend Bill Black officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
